Come and play your favorite music from movies, video games, or any piece you've been preparing over the summer! This is a relaxed and fun opportunity to share what you've been working on and cheer on your fellow students.
Get ready for a fun and engaging musical carnival with activity booths designed for students of all ages! Test your skills and earn prizes at stations including interval recognition, note identification, scale identification, rhythm & beat control, and musical vocabulary. Leadership students (7th grade and up) arrive early to set up and run the booths. A fun and competitive way to sharpen your musicianship!
Come dressed in your favorite costume and bring your spooky music! We'll be brightening the day of seniors at a local senior living center with a special Halloween-themed performance. This is a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community and share the joy of music with those who need it most.
An exclusive performance opportunity for piano students in seventh grade and up. Space is limited, so we keep this series for our older students — immediate family members only. Come perform on a $250,000 Steinway concert grand at the Steinway Gallery — a rare and inspiring chance to play one of the world's finest instruments. Dress to impress; this is your night to shine!

Learn how to transcribe music in a clean and organized way using common music notation software. A great skill for any serious musician — bring your curiosity and creativity!
11:30 AM–12:30 PM — Performance Workshop
Play your favorite piece, build your confidence, and get ready for the upcoming holiday recital! A supportive and encouraging space to practice performing in front of others.

Celebrate the new year with a special open mic night! Play something new or an old favorite, share your musical goals for the year, and write a letter to your future self. If you took part last year, you'll receive the letter you wrote — a beautiful reminder of how far you've come!
1:00–2:00 PM — Buttons & Pictionary (Younger Students)
Create your very own musical term buttons and then put your knowledge to the test in a musical game of Pictionary! A fun, hands-on way to learn music vocabulary.
2:00–3:00 PM — Scale Competition (Older/Advanced Students)
How many scales do you know? Come and compete against fellow students to see who can play the most scales accurately and confidently. A great motivator to level up your technique!
Get ready for the final concert with this unique and creative workshop! Choose one of the five nature elements — Earth, Wind, Fire, Metal, or Water — that best describes the piece you'll be performing in May. Learn how to tell the story of your music using that element, enhanced by nature sounds and live percussion. A truly immersive and memorable way to connect with your music and prepare for the grand finale!
Submit your Certificate of Merit entry online by April 25! Record and submit pieces and scales that best represent your current level of playing. You will receive an official certificate and personalized feedback from instructors. A wonderful way to mark your growth and set a goal for the end of the year.
The grand finale of our season! Join us for a spectacular end-of-year concert at the Lafayette Library. Every student will perform and be awarded a medal in recognition of their dedication and hard work throughout the year.
