How Our Studio Works

Every student gets 44 private lessons plus 8 enrichment musical experiences that you are invited to attend each year. Here's how it all fits together.

Tuition, Simplified

Steady costs, all year long.

Tuition is split into 12 equal monthly payments, so your costs stay the same all year regardless of holidays, lesson counts, or the calendar. Because your lesson time is reserved just for you each week, tuition stays the same each month. Life happens, and we've already built that into the plan.

Annual Registration Fee

A one-time fee, due each September.

This fee isn't profit — it goes toward the real costs of running a program like ours: studio supplies, licensing, end-of-year awards, and the rising cost of the venues we use for recitals and concerts. Even with this fee, it covers only a portion of what these experiences actually cost to provide — the rest is built into what tuition already supports.

No Traditional Makeups

Our events are your makeups.

Instead of a traditional "makeup lesson" policy, we built something better: a full calendar of enrichment events already included in your tuition — recitals, workshops, and ensembles that give you more value than a single replacement lesson ever could.

Miss a lesson? These events count as your replacement — no scheduling scramble, no guilt, just more music.
Make every lesson? Consider them bonus experiences that deepen your musicianship beyond the weekly lesson.
Feeling under the weather, or traveling? Hop on Zoom instead of missing out entirely.

Lesson Trades

Missed a lesson? Let's trade.

We call it a lesson trade. Give us a week's notice when you can, and we'll match you with another student's open time. Last-minute cancellations for genuine emergencies get added to our last-minute availability list too. But if you miss a lesson without notice, that time is gone — it's not available to reschedule.

A note on how this works: rescheduling openings only exist when another family cancels — they're not a standing offer, and a spot isn't guaranteed. The time available may not match your usual lesson length. Letting us know as early and clearly as possible gives you the best chance of finding something that works.

And if a trade doesn't come available: remember, your missed lesson is already covered. Attending one of our recitals, workshops, or ensembles is your replacement for that lesson — that's the whole idea behind how our program is built. A trade, when one opens up, is simply an added convenience on top of that — never something owed on top of it.

Your Tuition Explained

More value than it looks.

30-minute lessons — $2,340/year. 44 private lessons = $53/lesson. Any additional workshops, ensembles, or recitals during the year are true bonuses — value on top of what tuition already covers.
45-minute lessons — $3,300/year. 44 private lessons = $75/lesson. Same idea here — any extra experiences beyond your lessons are bonus value, not something factored into the price.

The more events you attend, the more your tuition is worth — that's the whole idea.
